Welcome to my Neocities site!
Thanks for taking part in my questionnaire on attitudes towards clothes repair.
Following this survey, I have been researching potential solutions to the barriers people face when wanting to repair the clothes they love and want to save from prematurely going into landfill. One idea is
ReWear - the repair community app/website:
- video and illustrated tutorials showing you how to fix and alter your clothes
- accessed through a quick and easy interactive flowchart
- with social media connecting you to people who can help, whether friends, volunteers or local services
Here's a sketch showing how it works
What I'd like to do is show you
- a rough prototype of the interactive flowchart
- some sketches of the interface
and ask you about
- how it compares to other ways of finding the same information
- which elements motivate you to want to repair your clothes more
You can do this one of three ways depending how much time you have spare to help me out, how interested you are in the idea and how you prefer to communicate:
- try out the online prototype and then do a short survey like the last one, filling out preferences with pre-written options - go here: Short online survey
- try out the online prototype, and then do a slightly longer survey, where you can also write in your own ideas - go here: Slightly longer online survey
- have a 20-30 min chat over Zoom, whenever is best for you, either individually or in a small group, where i can demonstrate the prototype and get your feedback - go here: Book an online chat
